Ayutya Earthenware – Dancing Figure I

II. Source – Petchaburi River; Petchaburi province; Thailand, August 2016
III. Material/Process – Earthenware
IV. Dimension and Weight - Approximate height: 54cm, length: 38.5mm, thickness: 7mm, weight: _ g
V. Condition – Good: There appear imperfections as seen on illustrations: namely, there are wears and tears, cracks and breaks (of a jag on most top, left side of the figure); ORIGINAL, NO REPAIR.

VI. Character – The work is a biscuit-like small tinny dancing figure. The back-side is plain; nothing but maker’s fingerprint appeared. The work might be product of a mold. We cannot identify the figure’s gender (by consider to its costume, perhaps!) The lower part of the work appears to be a hole.
VI. Art Origin – probably Later Ayutya period – Rattanakosin period; circa 16-19th Century
VIII. Remark – Color’s tone of the pictures might be slightly different form the original Work, depending on displaying screen and original digital pictures. To have the true color’s tone, these original pictures need to be adjust the value of Darken and Brighten using PhotoScape or the like application program comparing to the real Work beforehand. Any question is always welcome.

IX. Remark II – Actually we do not have an experience of such work before, never seen; the Art Origin stated above must considered to be a guess (even from its material/process style.)
